We’ve been waiting forever for Indiana Jones 5. The first rumors about the sequel were already circulating in the early 2010s. At the latest after Disney bought Lucasfilm in 2012, it was clear that a fifth part of the adventure series will come – and yet we had to wait a surprisingly long time for Harrison Ford to return.
Indiana Jones 5 has had its theatrical release postponed four times, not to mention this one Chaos behind the scenes, which ultimately led to director Steven Spielberg turning his back on the project. But now the time has finally come: The first trailer for Indiana Jones 5 is preparing for the cinema release in summer 2023. In addition, the official title is now known: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

Harrison Ford grabs his hat and whip one last time and looks for a treasure. This time we find each other in the 1960s again. The story takes place against the backdrop of the space race – and brings back the Nazis as antagonists. However, Indy is not alone. He receives support from his godchild, Helena.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge makes her Indy debut in Indiana Jones 5
Helena is played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, best known for the acclaimed Amazon series Fleabag. In addition, she was already on the road in the Star Wars universe, which is home to Lucasfilm. In Solo: A Star Wars Story, she awakened the quick-witted Droid L3-37 to life and started a droid rebellion.
Indy 5 was directed by James Mangold. In the course of his career, Mangold has different genres researched. He’s as knowledgeable about superheroes (Logan) as he is about Oscar drama (Walk the Line). His filmography includes thrillers (Cop Land), westerns (Death Train to Yuma) and action-packed hits (Knight and Day), not to mention the great racing film Le Mans 66.
