Kankaanpää’s Maila and Puijon’s Pesis will meet next time on Friday evening.
The discipline of the baseball association has dealt with the events of Wednesday’s match between Kankaanpää Maila and Puijon Pesis, and the requests for investigation into the events after the match will not lead to punishments.
Kuopio’s game director blamed at the post-match press conference Kankaanpää’s Maila’s second-leg manager for personal insults towards a player from Kuopio. According to the claim, KaMa’s second game director would have designated the children of the player from Kuopio as disabled.
Puijon Pesis said that in addition to Lauttamus, he would make investigation requests to the baseball association about another situation in which a KaMa player Arttu Vilander’s allegedly threw the ball towards PuPe’s substitution box on purpose.
In addition, the head referee made a request for an investigation into the inappropriate language used by PuPe’s game director at the press conference of the match.
No penalties for playoffs
The manager of KaMa’s second game was left unsentenced because, according to the union’s disciplinary chief, there is no clarity that he acted as the investigation request made by PuPe claims.
According to the disciplinary manager, it is a word-for-word situation, of which there is no reliable external investigation, because the content of the conversation cannot be heard from the video clip.
Arttu Vilander was left without being sentenced to a penalty, because it cannot be concluded from the video that Vilander would have deliberately tried to throw the ball towards the players of Puijon Pesis towards the bench and thus violate their right to physical integrity.
The case of PuP’s game director was left uninvestigated, as the request to start disciplinary proceedings has not been received within the deadline.
In addition, one warning was given to PuPe in the match Ville Pietinen loud inappropriate language.
KaMa and PuPe meet next time today at 17:30 in Kankaanpää. The match series is interrupted for KaMa.
