The statement included information on the activities of Luna-25, the country’s first spacecraft sent to the Moon since 1976.
In the statement, which pointed out that Luna-25 entered the orbit of the Earth’s natural satellite, the Moon, it was noted that all systems on the spacecraft were operating normally.
LAUNCHED ON AUGUST 11
Luna-25 was launched on August 11 from the Vostochniy spaceport, 5,500 kilometers east of Moscow, on a Soyuz 2.1b rocket.
Luna-25, which will conduct research on the Moon for about 1 year, will examine the effects of space rays and electromagnetic emissions on the lunar surface, as well as searching for water. (AA)
