The original story of the Space Marine 3 in the Warhammer 40K universe was drawn in a completely different and dark direction, unlike previous games.
Fans of the Warhammer 40K series, the next game after the success of Space Marine 2 Space Marine 3 continues to be excited about. However, the first planned scenario of the game was going in a very different direction. The original game director Raphael Van Lierop announced that the Space Marine 3 will be the subject of a dark story in which Titus lost his loyalty to Ultramarines and founded his own part.
Expectations from Space Marine 3
In an interview, Van Lierop said that the series will follow a much darker story at first. According to the first plans, Space Marine 2 would put the Titus a darker path, where the loyalty to Adeptus Astartes was tested and described it as “Titus unleashed”. Titus would be excluded from Ultramarines and this would be almost a death edict for him: “In the second game, Titus’s loyalty would be tested and finally excluded. However, this would make it stronger. In Space Marine 3, he would continue his war against chaos by establishing his own part.”
This story involved Titus’s focus on cleaning the threat of chaos with his own department, moving away from Adeptus Astartes. This newly established section would appear in the Warhammer universe as a new group.
In the current situation, the Space Marine 3 will be developed by Saber Interactive, and the story will still focus on Titus’s struggle with chaos. However, the original story plan shows that the game can offer a much deeper and personal narrative. In particular, the idea of creating a new episode under the leadership of Titus, like the Blood Ravens for Dawn of War, had an exciting potential for fans.
Saber Interactive plans to provide long -term content support for Space Marine 2. A new Horde Mode will be added to the game and this mode will offer players an unusual experience. In addition, the Space Marine 3 will focus on wider wars with larger threats, such as the awakening of Necrron forces.
Although it is not known whether Titus will deviate from a dark road, the Space Marine 3 is expected to strengthen its position in the Warhammer 40K universe. Players are looking forward to more details about these new stories and content.
