The first poster promises pure horror

In the meantime, it looked as if we would never see another film from the horror series started by 28 Days Later. In 2002, the infected ran through the streets of London for the first time, causing fear and terror. Five years later, the groundbreaking zombie modernization continued with 28 Weeks Later.

However, the next entry in the series has been a long time coming. A third 28 film hung in limbo for years. But we’ve known since January: 28 Years Later is definitely coming and bringing it three most important people of the first film: director Danny Boyle, screenwriter Alex Garland and lead actor Cillian Murphy.

First poster for 28 Years Later shows a sea of skulls

Filming for 28 Years Later ran from the beginning of May to the end of June. Now there is the first official look at the film. There is not yet a trailer or a specific scene image. Sony has unveiled the first poster that brings back a familiar motif from the series: the Biohazard warning symbol. This time it is made up of countless red skulls.

The tagline of the new film also fits in with this: “Time didn’t heal anything”is written ominously at the bottom of the poster. Even after all these years it seems Rage virus has the world firmly in its grip to have. Time has not healed wounds. 28 is likely to continue just as dark and hopeless as the series left off.

The poster confirms the three central stars of the sequel, especially Jodie Comer, who just this year wowed in the apocalyptic The End We Start From. They are joined by Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kraven the Hunter) and Ralph Fiennes (Conclave). Murphy is expected to only appear in a small supporting role.
