The first move-in is now taking place – in the Nordic region’s tallest building

Today, the first home buyers can move into Karlatornet in Gothenburg, which is now the tallest building in the Nordic region. The move-in in the 246 meter high building with 74 floors will last for one year.
– It changes the image of Gothenburg, but in a nice way, says Armin Ghoroghi, one of those moving in.

Construction work on the apartments at the top of Karlatornet is still ongoing, but up to floor 27 the new home owners can now move in. One of them is Armin Ghoroghi, who has been waiting two years for his new view on the eighth floor.

– People have been waiting for this for so long. It feels good to finally be able to move in soon, he says.

For Armin Ghoroghi, several factors came into play when he chose to buy an apartment in Karlatornet.

– Among other things, the fantastic location here in Lindholmen, that it is a very modern building and that it is just so cool.

The high-rise consists of 600 apartments, at the top there are four penthouses with their own lift.

– It changes the image of Gothenburg, but in a nice way, says Armin Ghoroghi.

That so many people will move in during a limited time – requires planning. Johan Live, press manager for the construction group Serneke, says that the move-in will take place in different stages over the course of a year.

– You get your own slot time when you get access to the lift for a few hours, then you have to get your stuff in and we will also assist with staff, he says.
