According to the Nord prefecture, of which BFMTV Greater Lille echoed, “a national police vehicle and a second vehicle were involved in this fatal accident”, which confirms the death of the three officials from the Roubaix police station. A fourth occupant of the police car, a civilian, was seriously injured, and was “taken care of” and transferred to Roger Salengro hospital in Lille. The driver of the second accident vehicle died. His passenger was transported in absolute urgency to Lille hospital. “An investigation will determine the causes of the accident,” said the prefecture. According to the first elements, the two cars collided head-on, while the police car was transporting a civilian to a hospital.
