The First Descendant: Player shows that he can unlock an Ultimate descendant even without money

The First Descendant is a loot shooter designed for players to grind a lot. In addition to weapons and equipment, the descendants are another big part of the game and you have to grind them. A player on Reddit has now shown that he managed to do it in less than 2 weeks.

What are descendants? Descendants are the classes in The First Descendant. There are currently 14 of them, three of which are available to you at the beginning. In the game, you either have to dig into your wallet to get the descendants or grind them the hard way.

In addition to the normal descendants, there are also ultimate versions of some. Currently only Bunny, Ajax, Viessa, Gley and Lepic have one. The ultimates are better versions of these characters that come with better stats. The grind for these characters is accordingly strenuous. However, a user on Reddit has now shown that it can also be done for free.

It’s possible guys, just grind and don’t give up

In a reddit thread titled I did it F2P!, user Phoenix-XY shows that he managed to unlock the Ultimate Version of Lepic. According to him, he managed to do this without spending a cent and after less than 2 weeks.

For this he receives praise from many parts of the community.

  • TheRealLuctor: Ultimate Lepic and Ultimate Bunny are the easiest 2 to farm, but still ultimates, so harder to farm. Congratulations!
  • OscarDivine: Wow, I just got Valby and thought that would be hard enough
  • Numroth: Welcome to the club! I have already unlocked ultimate Gley, but now I’m working on ultimate Ajax or Lepic next since I already have some of their parts “randomly”
  • Others criticize the game here because the grind in other Ultimate versions is already enormous. Especially since many of the parts you need have a specific drop rate in missions. If you’re unlucky, you have to play the missions over and over again. The user Geraltpoonslayer, for example, complains about Ultimate Ajax.

It is also unclear how many hours the thread creator needed to unlock Ultimate Lepic. However, he mentions in a comment that he played in hard mode because the drop rates are higher there.

The time spent crafting should not be underestimated either, as this can also mean several hours of waiting time. The grind for equipment is then added on top of that.
