The story of The Bad Batch begins during the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. The future Emperor Palpatine proclaims Order 66, which orders the destruction of the Jedi. However, Clone Unit 99 defies the murderous order. Because the troops are not the usual, servile clone soldiers, but rather genetically mutated clones. As a result, Unit 99, aka The Bad Batch, is on the run from the Empire’s henchmen.
