– The fire brigade saw that there was a fire in a clearing and raised the alarm, says Sören Gustavsson at SOS.
The estimate was that it was then about 30 by 30 meters. At 3:53 p.m., the emergency services, which have ten units on site, stated that approximately four football pitches had been ravaged by fire and that they had not yet surrounded the fire.
– They are still working. Plenty of water has been extracted, but it is inaccessible, it is windy and there is a risk of it spreading to the forest, says Gustavsson.
