Finnish paddlers advanced to the semi-finals in Halifax, Canada, on the opening day of the World Championships. On the first day of the competition, the Finnish national team paddlers scooped in unit trips.
Jeremy Hakala finished second in his men’s 500m heat. Due to absences, only four paddlers participated in the first round.
