Elina Aarnisalo’s top performances in both the youth and women’s national basketball teams have been noticed abroad and the buzz around the 17-year-old Finnish super promise continues to be strong.
The crown jewel of Finnish women’s basketball Elina Aarnisalo17, has won the points queen of the girls’ under-18 European Championships in Turkey.
The act is historic, because in the past only the first-level tournaments of different national teams have been able to do the same Lea Hakala (women, EC 1981), Leena Vestala (U18 girls, EC 1981) and Lauri Markkanen (U18 boys, EC 2015 and U20 men EC 2016).
