The finalists for the winning song

Tonight’s two Idol finalists Cimberly Wanyonyi and Saga Ludviksson have a busy day ahead of them, before the winner is chosen tonight, in the final, in the Avivii Arena in Stockholm.

– This has been the most fun thing you’ve ever done, says Cimberly.

“Like family”

Although the finalists are pitted against each other in the competition, they do not see each other as rivals. They have hung tight together the whole trip, and have become close friends.

– You are with each other all the time except when you are sleeping, and it is very nice that everyone has gotten along so well. We really become like a family where you take care of each other, says Saga.

– I don’t think you would have managed this adventure if you didn’t have each other, agrees Cimberly. It’s a very lively atmosphere, and we’re there for each other quite simply.

“The funnest thing you’ve ever done”

None of the girls could have imagined that they would make it this far, and Saga describes how unreal it has felt to make it further, week after week.

– You have been a little bit surprised every Friday – “Oh, it went well, oops”, she says with a laugh.

And they have developed both musically and personally.

– There is so much that you feel is possible now, that you didn’t feel at the beginning, says Cimberly.

“The final song is really great”

The idols will sing three songs each during the final night – Eget Val, Da Capo and Winnarlåten. So a song they were allowed to choose completely freely, a song they had already sung once earlier in the season and then the winning song – which will be released tonight.

– Regardless of who is going to release it, I can’t wait for it to be out so you can listen to it. It’s really great, and a good summary of an Idol journey, says Cimberly.
