The film has terrible reviews and is still Blue Bloods

Blue Bloods – Crime Scene New York star Tom Selleck reveals which role he particularly enjoyed. This is what it is
Of all things, it was a comedy that really failed the audience.

Blue Bloods star Tom Selleck reveals his favorite role

In an interview with Parade magazine, Tom Selleck talked about his film career so far, but also possible future projects. The actor said that he was drawn back to the comedy genre:

I would like to do a comedy again. The right kind of comedy. Friends made people laugh and sometimes cry. That’s the kind of comedy I like to do. Three more men, another baby had that too.

For the past fourteen years, Selleck had portrayed Frank Reagan on Blue Bloods. A character who, by his own admission, found it difficult to bring in humor.

Not so with his favorite role:

I have many favorite films for different reasons. Certainly Three More Men, Another Baby was one of my favorites. That was the No. 1 film in the world.

The comedy is about three bachelors who are forced to look after a baby that was left by its mother on the doorstep of their shared apartment.

A success at the box office, but not in the ratings

Three Men, Another Baby is an American remake by Leonard Nimoy from 1987. The French original Three Men and a Baby was released in 1985.

Nimoy’s variant proved to be a commercial success. However, the comedy didn’t do particularly well in the reviews: The film has a moderate 67% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The opinions of the Moviepilot community were also not very euphoric with 4.5 points out of 611 reviews.

But bad reviews or not: for Tom Selleck, who apparently enjoys acting in comedic material, the film is still something special to this day.
