The ferry is currently frozen in the harbor at Bolmsö. Also last week, the shipping company had to stop traffic for a day because of the ice.
– We are waiting to get an excavator here that we need to crush and remove the ice, says Gustav Karlsson, district manager of the ferry company at the Swedish Transport Administration.
Put in extra resources
According to Gustav Karlsson, the Swedish Transport Administration has put in extra resources since the ferry got stuck last time.
– We worked during the nights to ensure that ice does not build up under the ferry, but with the conditions we had last night, the ice has moved and made it impossible for us to keep the chute open.
