Palia is an upcoming MMORPG that wants to offer a lot of relaxation. Recently, the developers of Singularity 6 revealed that you can meet and date NPCs. Similar to the popular farming RPG Stardew Valley.
What is Palia game? Palia is a cozy MMORPG that is currently in development. Activities such as cooking, logging, chopping stones, fishing, hunting bugs or farming are part of the core content – housing is also an important feature.
You explore the open world of the MMORPG, change your character’s appearance and set up your house. There are also PvE fights, but they should be optional.

The MMORPG tells its story through the 23 characters
It shouldn’t be a strong story game, as the developers have already revealed. Nevertheless, they want to tell a story together with their community in Palia, which among other things happens about the characters.
You play people who are a “legendary people” in the world of Palia. Because at the peak of their creative power, they suddenly disappeared and no one knew why. Now, after thousands of years, humans have suddenly reappeared and you must make a new home in the unknown world.
The story develops as you form friendships or, if you wish, romantic relationships with NPCs. Each of them tells a unique story, which gradually brings you closer to the answer to the disappearance of humans.
At the end of January, the developers presented 23 characters that will appear in Palia on Twitter and their website. “Meet the residents of Palia and make new friends – you might even find someone to settle down with,” the website reads. All the figures are listed below for you to click through, each with a short description.
Dating is possible, but not a must
You can have a romantic relationship with some of the characters, but you don’t have to. You choose someone and gradually build a stronger bond with that person – similar to Stardew Valley.
After introducing the characters, players asked how dating affects gameplay. Then, on Valentine’s Day, the Singularity 6 responded with a tweet.
The exact question was “What are the gameplay benefits of romance in Palia?”. The answer is: It’s all about the story. There are no direct rewards, this only continues the story.
They want the players to be genuinely interested in their characters and their stories. So they refrain from introducing gameplay perks and leave dating as an optional part of the game.
When will Palia appear? There is still no date for the release of the cozy MMORPG. In 2022, the developers conducted several closed alpha tests.
