Another channel has also cut off a piece of the Potter cake: the American one Food Networka sister station of Max, which primarily serves up cooking shows.

According to Variety, the Food Network greenlit a format called Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking. A reality baking show for innovative pastry professionals who are supposed to conjure up magical desserts. However, in the Muggle way with cake dough and an oven, for example like in the popular UK format The Great British Bake-off or the German counterpart The Great Bake-Off.
The special thing for Potter heads: The show will be filmed at Warner Bros. Studios in London, which you can also visit for the so-called Making of Harry Potter tour. The setting for the baking show will be the original sets of the film series, where a jury will judge the delicious creations of the pastry wizards and witches.
In addition, numerous props and costumes from the eight-part film series will be used and of course the delicacies to be baked were inspired by the franchise. It is still unclear whether the show will also be shown in Germany.

What’s the new Harry Potter series all about?
Max’s Harry Potter series sets out to re-implement all 7 books of the original over 7 seasons. The advantage over the film series published between 2001 and 2011 is that the books are complete, you can get less bogged down in parallel production and everything can be cast from a single mold.
It is not yet known who will appear in front of the camera as Harry, Ron and Hermione this time. But what we already know: According to the current plan, the series project, like the film series, will take around a decade.
