Fans of The Witcher are currently preparing for season 4 and a big adjustment. From the next season, Liam Hemsworth will be seen as the monster hunter Geralt of Rivia instead of Henry Cavill. But it’s like magic: There’s Witcher news from Netflix again – both good and bad.

As production begins on Season 4, Netflix lets us know that the dark fantasy series will come to an end in the foreseeable future. So much for the bad news.

At the same time Netflix confirms the production of a 5th season, which will then serve as the final chapter of the saga. So Hemsworth gets the opportunity to prove himself as Geralt for two full seasons. Maybe by then fans will be a little sadder about the cancellation, which seems to have brought few tears so far.
