Mona Brorsson’s career
Mona Brorsson is a Swedish biathlete and currently competes for Finnskoga IF. In the 2012/2013 season, she competed for the first time in the host cup in Oslo, this as a result of a good performance during the IBU cup.
In a blog she talks about her love for skiing:
“I grew up in the small town of Koppom in Värmland. There I started skiing as soon as my legs were ready and tried biathlon for the first time as a 10-year-old.”
Since then, she has competed in the World Cup race in the 2013/2014 season, won EC gold in the pursuit start at the European Championships in the Czech Republic and the year after that became part of the national team.
On February 16, 2022, Mona Brorsson won another gold. This time in the relay with Lynn Persson, Hanna Öberg and Elvira Öberg. Together they won Sweden’s first Olympic gold in the women’s biathlon relay – and created history.
It was an Olympic silver for Brorsson in relay in Pyeongchang 2018 and a WC silver in Österstund 2019.
