The F1 team Alpine wants above all professionalism from Ocons

Formula 1’s Alpine team is looking for a replacement for French driver Esteban Ocon. Rumors have revolved around e.g. The name of Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas.

The French drivers of the Formula 1 Alpine team Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly rustled last month at the Monaco gp, and under the next race, the Canadian gp, it was revealed that Ocon will not continue with Alpine after this season.

So the stable and its master Bruno Famin are looking for a replacement for Ocon, and as usual, there are several drivers in the rumours. Among other things, Sauber Valtteri Bottas.

The team camaraderie between Ocon and Gasly has not been the warmest of all, as the friction in Monaco was only the latest between the two during a year and a half of living together. However, Famini’s primary goal is not to find a “mate” for Gasly, but the man emphasizes to Sky Sports that the focus is on the “professionalism” of the future Alpine driver.

– The relationship (between the drivers) doesn’t matter. Professionalism has. We need professional drivers, Famin declared to Sky Sports, according to Motorsport website.

– They have to work together. It’s part of the job to be able to work with a teammate to get the best out of the team, Famin added.

According to Famin, there is, among other things, an Australian teenager running for the driver’s seat Jack Doohan, who is the team’s reserve driver. In addition to Bottas, there has also been speculation about another Sauber driver, i.e Zhou Guanyuas well as the deputy at Mercedes Mick Schumacher.

– Jack is an option, definitely. Let’s see how he develops, and he is one option among others, Famin was content to state.
