A gathering organized by the Left Party and the Green Party on Wednesday evening was attacked by masked men.
– My first reaction was “what cowards who can’t show their faces”, says Kerstin who was present at the venue in Gubbängen in southern Stockholm.
– I heard someone shout in the room that someone is coming and then I look out the window and see five or six guys, masked and dressed in black. The first takes a chair and throws up the air. Then they spread out in the room and beat a guy down, says Kerstin, who does not want to give her last name.
– It goes so fast, then came this smoke that they have at football matches, Bengals, and then as if on a given signal they all run out, she continues.
Lena, who also does not want to give her last name, says that she was standing in the foyer of the theater serving coffee when the masked men entered.
– This was precisely a meeting that was supposed to be about fascism and how it is increasing, and then something like this happens, she says.
No one is said to have been seriously injured in the incident, but Lena and Kerstin say that they saw several people being attacked.
– Two got red in the face and they probably don’t feel very well, says Lena.
– You’re a little shaky now afterwards, but I’m not afraid, says Kerstin.
