A 7.4 magnitude earthquake occurred in the north of the South American country of Chile. The US Geological Survey (USGS) announced that the epicenter of the earthquake was San Pedro de Atacama in the Antofagasta region.
The 7.4 magnitude earthquake was recorded at a depth of approximately 117 kilometers.
THE PEOPLE PANIC
No tsunami warning was issued following the earthquake, and no loss of life or property has been reported so far. It was reported that the earthquake was also felt in the southern regions of Peru, Tacna and Arequipa, and caused panic among the public.
