The expert’s tips on budget travel destinations for the holidays

The first tip applies to the Polish Baltic Sea coast and destinations such as Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot.

Places that are also close by and can be reached by ferry from Sweden.

– In addition, prices in Poland are half compared to Sweden if you look at Eurostat’s consumer price index. Unlike our Nordic neighbors where prices are higher than in Sweden.

Per J Andersson also advises on Croatia.

– It is a little more expensive than Poland, but still around 60, 70 percent of Sweden’s prices. I would recommend northern Croatia, Istria, budget Italy you might say.

“Crystal clear water”

South of Croatia we find the Albanian Riviera, which according to Per J Andersson is an underestimated destination.

– It is crystal clear water, fantastic beaches and not as exploited as, for example, Greece. Many may associate Albania with something gray and boring, but it is a fantastic Mediterranean country. And the price level is low, much like Poland.

In addition to the tips above, Per J Andersson also mentions holidays in the Greek archipelago and train travel in Europe as budget-friendly options for the summer.
