Now the first real test of how good this blue-yellow team is awaits when arch-rival Finland is the opposition in the World Cup quarter-finals. Finland has had a problematic path to the playoffs but has a tendency to always be good against Sweden in particular.

While Tre Kronor have everything to lose on Thursday night as they are not going as big favorites against the neighboring country. Even the experts paint the rival meeting as a one-sided story and say the forbidden about Sweden being far too good, something that could give Finland a lot of firepower.

Finland gets tough
He simply sees Tre Kronor as superior to their blue and white opponents.
– They have their own game. They have a power play that now works and they have players who are significantly better than Finland’s players. If I compare the different teams, there are not many Finnish players who would take a place in Sweden’s squad, says Andersson to the television channel.
– The only thing that speaks for Finland is honestly only one thing. And it is that it is just one match, if it had been the best of seven they would have had no chance, but now it is the best of one match and there Finland has managed to find ways to win such.

Also Radiosport’s expert Per Svartvadet is convinced that Tre Kronor will defeat Finland in the hottest meeting of the quarter-finals.
– Sweden are favourites, even though matches between Sweden and Finland usually take on a life of their own. But it is Sweden that wins, he tells the radio channel.
