Dr. stated that sometimes adenoma tissue grows as normal non-cancerous tissue. Ağaoğlu stated that sometimes it grows as cancer, although it is very rare.
MUST BE INSPECTED ONCE A YEAR
“It grows as cancer at a rate of 5 percent or 10 percent, and this can be life-threatening,” said Dr. Ağaoğlu emphasized that every man after the age of 45-50 should be examined by a urologist at least once a year.
IT IS TREATED WITH MEDICATION OR SURGERY
Dr. stated that this can be detected with a simple manual examination and a simple blood test. Ağaoğlu said, “When suspected, a piece of the prostate can be removed and the diagnosis can be made and the necessary treatment can be done. Prostate cancer can be treated with surgery as well as drug treatment. Recently, with the development of technology, it is now done with robots. Prostate cancer surgery can now be performed in Mardin without being referred to advanced centers such as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir.” “We came to the conclusion that we could do it in our own hospital in . Pointing out that the disease will result in death if it is not treated early, Dr. Ağaoğlu said, “Prostate cancer is a very bad type of cancer. If it is not treated in time, undetected and missed, it is a cancer that can spread to the lungs, brain and bones. Ultimately, it is a fatal cancer.”
