The expert: The attacks are legal – but civilian casualties are crucial

With what is known today, international law professor Ove Bring thinks that it does not appear that international law has been violated in the attacks on Lebanon.

– At the moment, I think it looks like a completely legal operation.

The act can also be more easily justified under the laws of war if it is followed by a major military effort, for example a ground invasion.

– Then the military benefit will be enormously greater and it will be more difficult to assess the operation as illegal.
