The EU project Interact III works to develop guidelines for tourists together with the tourism industry and indigenous people in the Arctic. The idea is to educate the visitors so that they do not disturb, for example, the reindeer herding when they move on the mountains – but also so that they get as much as possible out of the visit.
As part of the EU project INTERACT III, Talma, Laevas and Gabna Sami villages have produced advice and guidelines for those who will visit their reindeer herding areas. SVT Sápmi called up Niklas Labba, advisor in the project, to get his best advice.
See the tips for those who visit the mountains in the clip above.
