Dementia is one of the diseases that increases day by day and reduces the quality of life considerably. Research continues to uncover new ways to slow the cognitive decline associated with dementia. Dr. Michael Mosley believes that preventing dementia is better than cure and takes daily steps to keep his brain “fit”. “I like to start the day with an egg (packed with protein) because it tastes good and keeps me full for longer,” the doctor shared, sharing that the first thing he does every day to get rid of the mind-blowing situation is “a big breakfast.”
Eggs are a must in every kitchen. Even people who do not like eggs use this food in many recipes. However, eating the protein-rich egg for breakfast makes it much more resistant and healthy. Dr. Mosley suggested that you should be conscious about your daily protein intake, eating eggs “especially as you get older, to keep your bones and muscles in good shape and protect against Alzheimer’s.”
LESS PROTEIN CONSUMERS HAVE 12 TIMES RISK OF DEMENTION
Research published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease also supported this claim. The findings suggested that a diet full of protein-rich foods such as meat and legumes may help prevent brain diseases. Dr. Mosley added that those who ate protein limited to 54 grams per day were 12 times more likely to have high amyloid levels in their brains than those who ate about 118 grams.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU EAT EGG EVERY DAY?
HELP LOSE WEIGHT
Since the egg is high in protein and low in carbohydrates, it keeps you full for a long time. Eggs also provide a healthy amount of calories by accelerating the metabolism. All these features make it easier to lose weight.
REJUVENATES THE SKIN
You can reverse the effects of aging by adding plenty of eggs to your diet. Amino acids renew our cells and give us the youthful glow we most dream of.
STRONG MUSCLES AND BONES
As our mother always said while eating our meals as a child, protein plays a huge role in our bodies by producing structural and functional cells and tissues that make us big and strong. Fortunately, eggs contain about six grams of protein each, which can strengthen our muscle mass and improve the overall health of our bones.
REDUCES THE RISK OF ANEMIA
Eggs rich in folic acid can increase red blood production in the body. This also reduces the risk of anemia in general.
KEEP FULL FOR A LONG TIME
Trying to cut calories can make you seem hungry all the time, making it harder for you to stick to your healthier diet. However, when you include eggs in most of your meals, the wonderful combination of protein and fat will help you feel full for longer. This means you no longer need to reach for snacks and you can reach your goals.
