High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell has condemned the rocket attack on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights on Saturday.

According to the Israeli rescue authorities, at least 12 young people have been killed in an attack from the Lebanese side. In addition, almost 20 young people are said to have been injured.

In the message service X, Borrell describes the incident as a massacre and demands an independent international investigation into the events. He also urges all parties to exercise restraint and avoid escalating the situation further.
