The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) of Strasbourg condemns Italy for its inaction in the face of illegal landfill and cremation of hazardous waste by the mafia having caused a resurgence of cancer in the population. The ECHR had been seized by 41 Italian nationals and five associations.
