On Monday, the European Union has approved a restoration regulation that aims to support biodiversity.
The regulation was approved when 15 environment ministers from 27 member countries voted in favor of approval.
The European Commission issued its proposal for nature restoration in June 2022, and it was approved earlier this year by the EU Parliament.
The Finnish government has opposed the restoration decree.
