The six-year-old girl is said to have been poisoned with vinegar and subjected to torture-like abuse. In text messages, she was called “zombie vomit” and “musty”.
Today, the girl’s mother is heard in the district court.
It remains a mystery why a 34-year-old woman and her 43-year-old husband allegedly abused and poisoned their six-year-old daughter with vinegar. The couple have several children, but are accused of subjecting only this girl to torture-like treatment, where she was also locked up and tied with rope for a long period.
The parents have been charged with extremely serious assault, three cases of aggravated assault, two cases of illegal deprivation of liberty and serious breach of peace. They themselves deny having hurt the girl.

“Housewife Tips”
Today the mother is heard in court about the girl’s injuries.
In previous police interviews, the mother has said that the girl drank the vinegar on her own because she was thirsty. The family had started using vinegar to neutralize odors in the house and there was a glass on the dryer in the laundry room.
– It was a housewife tip. The vinegar to neutralize smoke. We started using vinegar about a week before, said the mother.
As Aftonbladet told earlier, much of the preliminary investigation indicates that the parents treated their daughter very badly. In text messages between each other, the parents have called the girl “zombie vomit” and “mug”.
The case was discovered on the night of Christmas Eve last year when the girl came into the emergency room badly injured. The girl was then so bad that her stomach was completely corroded by vinegar and had to be operated on. Doctors also discovered that she was severely malnourished and had multiple self-healed fractures, burns and wounds.
The hospital staff also noticed that the parents were behaving strangely and alerted the police.
The police investigation into what happened to the girl is several thousand pages long. The trial began in November and will extend into January. Aftonbladet is on site in Lund’s district court on Monday.
