The entry restrictions came into effect on January 7 and have since been extended due to the situation in China.
– We lacked a good picture of the situation in China, with the history of the pandemic, the security measure became necessary, says Forssmed.
Now, however, it is no longer considered necessary.
– The situation in China is increasingly similar to that in the rest of the world and Sweden, says Director General of the Public Health Agency Karin Tegmark Wisell.
– The entry restrictions have also applied in other EU countries, but these will be phased out during the month of February, says Jakob Forssmed.
– No new variants of special importance have been found in China, he says.
