The sports event has offered many comedy classics over the years.
But here comes probably the most unexpected in the history of the gala.
When Kalle Moraeus himself surprised everyone with an incredible display.
We have seen Robert Gustafsson, Johan Rheborg, Henrik Schyffert, Johan Glans and many more take on the great challenge of making sports people laugh during the annual Sports Gala. Some have done very well and given memorable performances, but the vast majority have still failed.
Moraeus’ show
The sports gala is usually a rather gray and rigid event. But it was different in 2014 Kalle Moraeus of all provided great entertainment in the most unexpected way, see the video below.

It starts with the presenter Richard Olsson interviewing Thomas Ravelli who is then current as one of the participants in the SVT program “Master of Masters”. But then everything changes to a pure display of Moraeus, who suddenly takes over the entire Sports Gala.
– I had a long and solid career as an athlete before music finally saved me from sports. There has been quite a lot of nagging about me being in the Master of Masters, so in the end I capitulated and said yes, he says in the live broadcast.

Next, we get to see exclusive images from Kalle Moraeus’ acclaimed participation in Master of Masters, and his very own memorial video is one of the strangest things we’ve seen in a long time. At first everyone just gapes at the Sports Gala and then it quickly turns into big bursts of laughter, see the video below.

This side of the good Kalle Moraeus we never thought we would get and it is really pure comedy gold that SVT offers here.
