No permission, no beers
But many pubs are not allowed to open so early, let alone serve alcohol. The British Beer and Pub Association has called for an exceptional opening at 10 a.m. to be allowed. However, MPs are currently not sitting due to the summer holidays, and requests for emergency recalls to Westminster have been rejected. Each pub could ask for its own authorization, but this must be done five days before the big day. It is therefore far too late.
This young man thinks that if the final had been male, the pubs would have all already obtained their authorization: “ I think it should be seen as a mark of the patriarchy.
