No improvement at the end of 2023. The unemployment rate remained stable in the fourth quarter of 2023, at 7.5% of the active population in France (excluding Mayotte), according to figures published on Tuesday February 13, by INSEE, which slightly revised upwards the rate of the previous quarter (+0.1).
In the fourth quarter, the number of unemployed as defined by the International Labor Office (ILO) increased by 29,000 compared to the previous quarter, to 2.3 million people, indicates in a press release the National Institute of Statistics and Studies economic.
