The employment agency announces that it is necessary to cut down on the number of employees. The redundancy is calculated at 228 employees, the authority writes in a press release.
Expenses must be reduced by half a billion kroner.
The notification mainly applies to positions within staff and support functions and the number of employment agencies will not be affected, according to the Employment Service.
“Arbetsförmedlingen needs to reduce expenses for administrative funds, i.e. funds that mainly go to personnel, by SEK 500 million in 2025 and at the same time make strict priorities in order to fulfill our main mission,” writes Arbetsförmedlingen.
Arbetsförmedlingen emphasizes that a notice does not mean that everyone concerned will actually be dismissed, but that it should be seen as “a warning that dismissals may be imminent”.
