Introduced at ESO 2024 Global Reveal, Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road takes place in the Colovian Highland and West Weald regions of Cyrodiil.
Expansion pack coming from Zenimax Online during ESO 2024 Global Reveal live broadcast Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road was introduced. The new expansion will be set in the Colovian Highlands and West Weald regions of Cyrodiil, just east of the Gold Coast, last seen in The Elder Scrolls Oblivion. The city of Skingrad, which is hinted at in Greymoor Expansion, is also located in this region. According to the map revealed during the post-trailer discussion, a fairly large area west of Cyrodiil’s PVP region is being populated.

The main enemy of the Golden Path is the Forgotten Prince Ithelia, the Daedric Prince of the Paths. Hermaeus Mora erased the Prince from existence because the god is said to be able to change fate and destiny. They seemed to imply that they appeared here, but they were only really mentioned in ESO. For the first time, Zenimax has created a truly new Daedric Prince plot; Previously they had only worked with the plans of those who already existed.
Additionally, Scribing, a spin on spellcrafting from the core series, will also be added to the episode. Spellcrafting was originally planned to be a feature of ESO, but was shelved, presumably due to the difficulty of balancing. A lot of gamers I know would be excited to see this coming in some form. In fact, it seems more like ability customization. To use this system, you must be the owner of the Golden Path section.
On June 3, 2024, Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road will be released on PC. The game will be released on June 18 for Xbox Series X|S and PS5.
