TV4 profiler Bengt Frithiofsson is dead, the family confirms to TV4 Nyheterna. He had an inordinate passion for wine and its nuances. Above all, he became a well-known face in Swedish homes through his recurring guest appearances on TV4’s Nyhetsmorgon.

In 2017, however, he left the television box after 25 years, but continued with wine production and giving wine tips in various forms, including on the website Hello winelovers together with his son.

Frithiofsson was also the author of several books on food and drink. In 2012 he appeared in the TV program Let’s Dance and he has also appeared in a number of other programs over the years.

“Bengan, thanks for all the tans and sips. You enriched life,” writes Nyhetsmorgon’s presenter Steffo Törnquist in a post on Instagram.

Bengt Frithiofsson was 85 years old.
