Fluid losses through urine increase with the consumption of energy drinks during bodybuilding and intense physical activities, and the increased kidney load due to excessive muscle exercises can lead to undesirable consequences on the kidneys. “In addition, with the heavy consumption of these drinks, our young people may face problems such as insomnia, behavioral disorders and chronic fatigue.”
