The downpour could lead to jobs for another six months

At Länsförsäkringar, almost 750 claims related to the downpour have flowed in.

Heavy rain in Jönköping County

  • After the downpour in Jönköping County – Habo Municipality needs to make further efforts

  • The County Administrative Board is to investigate the floods in Jönköping County

  • – It is of course a challenge for us to help so many people at the same time, says Andréas Flygare, business area manager of the claims department at the insurance company in Jönköping.

It is still too early to say what the damage will cost. By the end of August, the insurance company hopes to have a better picture.

Twice as many cases as the storm last summer

After the storm Hans in August last year, Länsförsäkringar handled 360 cases. Now there are twice as many.

    – It is an extraordinary event and I am grateful for all the employees who have stood up. There have been many who have gone in and canceled their vacations for this, says Andréas Flygare.

Even the insurance company IF still has a lot of work to do.

    – We continue to work on helping the customers who were affected to restore and repair after the amount of water that got in, says claims manager Jenny Rudslätt.

And at the municipal property company Vätterhem in Jönköping, it is the Liljeholmen area that is worst affected. There are still about 20 dehumidifiers buzzing in various basements and they are also worried about some properties.
