We reported earlier today that on Gotland three dogs have been found dead from a contagious bacterial infection in recent weeks. The disease, which is called leptospirosis, is spread via rats in the wild, and although it is often asymptomatic, it can attack the dogs’ livers and kidneys with a fatal outcome.
