Every third doctor in psychiatry and in the country’s emergency departments has been subjected to threats or violence in the past year. This is shown by the Medical Association’s survey.
Robin Smith Ståhl, who is an ST doctor at Sunderbyn Hospital in Luleå, is one of them. He says that he has experienced both physical and psychological violence.
– There are death threats and threats of violence. I have repeatedly heard of furniture being thrown at me and the addition being used, he says.
