Filippa Angeldahl’s family – was trained by father Christer
Filippa Angeldahl was born on 14 July 1997 in Uppsala in a family with three siblings. Dad Christian shares his daughter’s interest in soccer.
– He has always been there for me since I was young. Dad was my coach from the time I was five to about 13-14 and he’s the one I still talk to after the games. He has meant a lot to me, Angeldahl has said in an interview with Stadium.
Filippa Angeldahl’s career
Angeldahl played in the Uppsala clubs Vaksala SK and Sirius before being recruited to Hammarby IF in 2016. She has subsequently played in Linköping FC and BK Häcken FF.
After her big national team breakthrough in the Olympics in Tokyo 2021, she was recruited to the English top club Manchester City, where she plays today.

When the couple vacationed in Italy with Angeldahl’s national team colleagues Nathalie Björn and Emma Kullberg last summer, Brake made a romantic proposal, and since then the couple have been engaged.

Why is Filippa Angeldahl’s last name misspelled on the match shirt?
The attentive World Cup viewer has probably noticed that there is something wrong with Filippa Angeldahl’s national team shirt. Namely, the surname is misspelled, and is spelled “Angeldal” without the h on the match shirt.

When Aftonbladet asked the national team coordinator Magnus Andersson why the error has not been corrected, he explained that they go by the spelling in the players’ passports.
– It has to do with the fact that when Uefa checks the shirts, they check the passport.
Angeldahl confirms that she pointed out the error on several occasions.
– You probably put someone’s dick a little bit now and then but they put it on me and that’s the way it is, says Filippa Angeldahl to The evening paper.
