The disco ball may leave the Masked Singer – see the celebrity behind it

In tonight’s “Masked Singer Sweden”, it is Discokulan who is allowed to leave the competition. Behind the mask hides the person on whom the panel’s Nour El Refai makes her final guess, the presenter Jessica Almenäs.

– It feels like many people have already guessed me. I have struggled with keeping the mask while the program is being broadcast, if you say so, says Jessica Almenäs.

Replaced Pernilla Wahlgren on the panel

But Jessica has taken a place in the program before, then as her usual self. In episode four, she replaced Pernilla Wahlgren on the panel, and even then the other panel members were on her trail.

– They really tried to find out if it was me. At lunch they talked about the other group and said that the Disco ball had no sense of rhythm. It was difficult, you had to be on your guard all the time. I had to be locked in as if I hadn’t seen the studio before, there were many pitfalls, says Jessica.

Another person she had to try a little extra to fool was her former presenter colleague David Hellenius. For nine years they led “Let’s Dance” together.

– It was difficult not to reveal myself to David. When we stood next to each other, you wanted to fill in something, like when he asked about the script, then I wanted to help. It felt so familiar to stand there with him, says Jessica.

– I don’t think he thought I would stand up, I was always a bit grumpy in “Let’s Dance” when we were going to dance, she continues.

Masked Singer is my son’s favorite show

Agreeing to participate in the program was not obvious to her. If she had been asked last season, she would have said no.

– I’ve always had low self-confidence in singing and dancing, I don’t want to lose myself like that. But Sam, my 6 year old son, loves Masked Singer, it’s his favorite show in the whole world. He would think it would be so cool if I was there. How dangerous is it to get away then? I thought, now I’m doing this, says Jessica.

– He has said at some point that “it sounds like you, mother”. My grown children are convinced that it is me. But I haven’t revealed anything to them, only the partner knows. But Sam will probably be a little surprised that I didn’t reveal anything.
