CEO of the Northvolt battery factory in Skellefteå, northern Sweden Mark Duchesne leave his job. Northvolt said about it on Wednesday.
The company starts looking for a new manager for the factory.
The Swedish public broadcasting company SVT reported on Wednesday that 47 accidents related to dangerous chemicals have occurred at the battery factory in the past three years.
Northvolt has run into financial difficulties this year due to the drop in demand for electric cars, rising costs and production problems. There have been layoffs at the battery factory, among other things.
Police also still figuring outwhether the working environment of the battery factory was connected to the death of four people who worked at the factory. The deaths occurred during leisure time.
