This morning, the latter reacts to the microphone of our correspondent in Kinshasa, Pascal Mulegwa. Isidore Kwanjda denies the accusations made against him and recalls the means granted to him. Isidore Kwanjda claims to have only managed a budget forecast of nearly 67 million euros.

โ€œ My management was very transparent. I inform you that I was appointed on October 22, 2021, I did not find any money in the coffers, to say that there was never any embezzlement, that the management was transparent, regularly monitored by the General Inspectorate of Finance.

The budget that I presented, which was adopted by the steering committee, which was approved by the international committee, was 66 million 900,000 euros. We don’t have this budget completely yet, but the rest, I don’t know where we allocated these funds. The sections are known.

As national director of the Francophonie Games, I have the duty to welcome the athletes, transport them, house them, feed them, ensure security, ensure health โ€“ these are the sections – there which are planned -, to promote the Games of the Francophonie at the national level, there is not one more section. So far, we are at about 70% that has been paid, and we are waiting for the last part so that we are able to pay the service providers and pay the employees who, at this moment, have deserted the offices and now accumulate three months of unpaid wages. ยป
