In recent days, the system has been strongly criticized by the profession, so we wondered what this aid entailed. The one who will enlighten us is Valentin Ehkirch, journalist in the economics department of L’Express, climate specialist. To understand our day number, Valentine, we need a few basics. Can you remind us what the CAP is?

Valentin Ehkirch: The CAP is the acronym for the “common agricultural policy”. It was launched in 1962 and it is one of the first community policies adopted at the European level, but as you said, it is strongly criticized at the moment and I will explain to you why.
