80 people continue to work on Wayfinder

Airship Syndicate confirmed in a statement to PCGamer that the game studio had to lay off 12 employees.

The statement said: “This decision was made to ensure that Airship Syndicate can continue to function and deliver great experiences.

On top of that, there would be salary cuts for the company’s president and the CEO. They would do this while work was underway to secure future plans.

Airship Syndicate’s press spokesman also told PCGamer that there are still 80 people working full-time on Wayfinder.

However, it was not disclosed how much the salaries of Ryan Stefanelli, the company’s president, and CEO Joe Madureira were cut.

However, the press spokesman emphasized: “This is not the end for Wayfinder.” Further information about the future of the co-op RPG will also be announced soon.

The event “Eventide”, a winter festival that started on December 15th, 2023 and runs until January 12th, 2024, is currently running in Wayfinder. It brings new modes, quests and rewards to the games.
