The plan is to put the train on the rails and then roll it into Hudiksvall, says SVT’s reporter on the spot.
It was on Monday, August 7 that the train derailed after heavy rain caused the embankment to collapse. 120 passengers had to be evacuated and 3 people were slightly injured.
The speed was reduced on the stretch just 20 minutes before the accident occurred. The rescue service, the Swedish Transport Agency and the National Accident Commission have all stated that it could have been much worse. The latter will investigate the accident.
